Cynthia Erivo arrived at Paris Fashion Week wearing a French manicure with five jewel-tone tips — ruby red, emerald green, sapphire blue, topaz orange and amethyst purple — each finished with a croc-effect texture.

The Oscar-nominated actor wore the design to several shows, including Dior and Chloé. Her nail artist kept Erivo's preferred long, stiletto shape and layered the croc detail over the multicolored tips for added texture.

The rainbow palette carries a trace of Oz. Dorothy's rainbow wasn't a major plot point in the Wicked movies, but it remains a key element of the Oz story — and it now lives on Erivo's nails.

A multicolored manicure might seem like an odd choice for an outfit-changing event like Paris Fashion Week. It's actually practical: the different hues manage to match everything.

Erivo is best known for bedazzled, bejeweled nail art. During the Wicked press runs she wore several memorable designs, and her molten gold Oscar manicure featured a clock charm embedded into one nail.

She also returns to the French tip with her own spin. Shortly before her 2025 Tonys hosting gig, Erivo wore a curved two-tone French design in shades of ruby — a color that echoes Dorothy herself.

For more colorful French inspiration, Dua Lipa recently wore a version with a painter's palette of summer-meets-fall hues on both the base and tips.

With Erivo continuing to pair couture front rows with statement nails, the croc-effect French suggests textured, multicolor tips will keep trending into the fall season.
