Interparfums SA shares rose 4 percent to 33.74 euros by 1:10 p.m. CET Wednesday after the French fragrance maker said third-quarter sales gained 4.8 percent and it now targets the top of its full-year guidance of around 870 million euros.

Sales for the three months ended Sept. 30 reached 265.5 million euros, up 4.8 percent in reported terms versus the same prior-year period. At constant exchange rates, growth was 4.6 percent, the Paris-based company, which produces Jimmy Choo, Coach and Montblanc fragrances under license, reported.

"Our activity regained more favorable momentum over the summer, allowing us to target the top of our sales guidance of around 870 million euros for 2026 as a whole," Philippe Benacin, chairman and chief executive officer of Interparfums SA, said in a statement.

What drove the third-quarter rebound?

Asia led the recovery. After a mixed performance at the beginning of 2026, the region returned to solid growth on a strong performance in China, posting gains of close to 32 percent in the third quarter and 8 percent over the nine months.

The group's largest licensed brands ranked by third-quarter sales:

  • Jimmy Choo: 74.1 million euros
  • Coach: 65.7 million euros
  • Montblanc: 61.9 million euros

Those three licenses together accounted for more than 75 percent of quarterly sales of 265.5 million euros.

What still weighs on the outlook?

Benacin flagged two cautionary factors for the months ahead. "We nevertheless remain prudent for the fourth quarter, in view of an international context that continues to be complicated, not least in the Middle East and Eastern Europe," he said.

He also pointed to the structure of the U.S. calendar. "We should not forget the strong seasonality of the American market, structurally focused towards the months of November and December," Benacin continued.

How did the first nine months shape up?

The strong quarter has not fully erased the year's earlier weakness. Sales for the first nine months of 2026 reached 679.8 million euros, down 2.9 percent in reported terms and down 0.7 percent at constant exchange rates.

The comparison is stark: a 32 percent regional surge in Asia in a single quarter versus a nine-month group decline of 2.9 percent shows how concentrated the turnaround remains.

What comes next?

Benacin said early signals for 2027 support the growth case. "In the end, the very favorable reception from our partners to the 2027 launch plan reinforces our confidence in the group's growth prospects," he said.

Hitting the top of the 870-million-euro guidance would require fourth-quarter sales of about 190 million euros, with the November–December U.S. selling season likely to decide whether the full-year target lands at the high end.
