Oral care brand Cocolab has grown its business 183 percent in three years — and it has hired E.l.f. Beauty board director Gayle Tait as chief executive officer to keep that streak running. The company, known for its expanding flosses, has extended its footprint in Target and Walmart during that growth run.
Cocolab's hire anchors a broader wave of executive changes across beauty. The Estée Lauder Cos., Dermalogica, Heretic Parfum, Molton Brown, Nuxe Group, Dolce Glow and Scent Beauty have all named new leaders in recent days.
Who moved where at the big houses?
At The Estée Lauder Cos., Guillaume Gellusseau is now senior vice president, global brand, Kilian Paris and Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle. He succeeds Sara Donninelli and arrives from Galeries Lafayette.
Dermalogica, which Unilever owns and which celebrates its 40th birthday this year, has named Vivianna Blanch chief marketing officer. Blanch joins from LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, where she led U.S. and international marketing at Benefit Cosmetics.
Molton Brown, the British, Kao-owned fragrance and body care brand, has appointed Laura Hogan as CMO. Hogan spent the previous five years at the Estée Lauder Cos., most recently as brand general manager, U.K. and Ireland, for Le Labo, Kilian Paris and Frédéric Malle — a portfolio that overlaps directly with Gellusseau's new remit.
What does the indie side of the market show?
Heretic Parfum has tapped Blair Lawson as CEO. She joins the indie fragrance brand — launched in 2015 by Douglas Little and known for its unconventional scents — after stints at Lunya, Beautycounter and Goop. Her appointment signals that venture-backed and founder-led brands continue to pull talent from the wellness and clean-beauty orbit.
At-home tanning brand Dolce Glow has named Gina Lucania senior vice president of global sales and strategic growth. The hire follows the brand's recently closed $11 million series A round, a celebrity-studded raise. Lucania previously held senior roles at Goop, Alo Yoga and Erno Laszlo.
Scent Beauty, the company behind Sabrina Carpenter's Sweet Tooth fragrance line and Megan Moroney's recent perfume venture, has named Yoana Land chief financial officer. Land held senior leadership roles at private equity firm Warburg Pincus and Java Apparel Group before joining.
Which appointment carries the largest mandate?
Nuxe Group has appointed Christine Delfaut-Sara as its next CEO, effective Oct. 1. She succeeds Muriel Koch and is charged with continuing the expansion of the natural pharmacy-based cosmetics brand, which today sells in more than 60 countries.
The pattern across the week is consistent: scale players recruit from prestige retail rivals, while indie brands buy operational and financial discipline from Goop, Warburg Pincus and Alo Yoga alumni. Cocolab's 183-percent, three-year run shows why operating executives are crossing into oral care — one of beauty's fastest-growing adjacent categories.
