Hailey Bieber wore glossy dark nails to the Saint Laurent spring/summer 2027 show, and beauty editors have already named the look "chocolate ganache nails."

The model and Rhode founder paired the manicure with an all-black outfit at last night's show. Her longtime manicurist, Zola Ganzorigt, has not yet posted about the design, so the name remains unofficial — but the high-shine, food-inspired finish has drawn immediate comparisons to Bieber's signature "glazed donut" nail, now in a darker fall register.

Manicurist Jin Soon Choi, creator of her eponymous nail brand, places the look within the vamp nail trend — and notes the timing is no accident. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the vamp manicure, a style that traditionally returns with colder weather.

"Dark nails feel so chic and classic, and different finishes make them modern," Choi says. "With her black blazer, Hailey's deep, vampy manicure looks incredibly stylish and perfect for fall."

Choi names her product pick for the look: Theda, a translucent jelly brown-vamp shade from her JinSoon line. She used the same color at the Proenza Schouler show.

Bieber's manicure also landed in a wider moment for brown polish. Olivia Van Iderstine, VP of education and mani trend expert for Olive & June, calls the current moment "brown nail fall" — and ties it directly to Bieber's business calendar.

"This color is perfect to celebrate the launch of Rhode at Sephora Europe—like a shot of espresso for your nails!" Van Iderstine says.

She frames deep brown as a universal shade rather than a niche trend. "This is a never-fail crisp weather neutral that looks good on everyone and every nail shape," she says.

For anyone copying the look, Van Iderstine gives precise guidance. Choose "a deep, cool-toned brown with less red," she advises. Application matters as much as shade: "Really precise application and a super glossy top coat make the look ultra shiny, chic and polished."

The trend extends beyond a single color. Van Iderstine points to "brown sugar espresso" and "cherry noir" as adjacent options — or, simply, dark nails in any form.

The timing gives the trend commercial weight. Rhode's launch at Sephora Europe puts Bieber's beauty brand in front of a new market, and her manicure choices have reliably moved product before — the original "glazed donut" nail became one of the most copied designs of recent seasons. With the vamp trend celebrating its centennial and dark shades positioned as fall neutrals, chocolate ganache nails look set to anchor salon menus through the colder months.
