The Weight earned a 94 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes after its festival debut. In the film, Jones plays the sole woman on a Depression-era gold-smuggling journey, a role she describes as possibly her most powerful yet.
Asked to define beauty, Jones kept it simple. "Beauty to me is… everywhere. The challenge is remembering to look for it," she said. As for aging: "The greatest thing about aging is… the perspective that comes with it."
Her beauty routine skews practical. She leaves haircuts to the professionals — "haircuts!" — and admits she still cannot master one tool: "The beauty move I still can't master is… using a curling iron."
One treatment has earned permanent status in her regimen. "The beauty treatment I can't live without is… lymphatic drainage," she said. She recently tried red light therapy for the first time, and her proudest wellness achievement is "finally prioritizing sleep."
