Kate Hudson has joined HealthyCell, the Charleston, South Carolina–based supplement brand, as an investor and brand partner, the company announced Thursday. The deal began with Hudson's own routine: she was already taking HealthyCell products before partnership talks started.
In her new role, Hudson will help shape the brand's creative strategy and consumer education efforts.
"People are tired of wellness trends that don't work and are looking for solutions that are grounded in strong science, fit naturally into everyday life, and deliver real results," Hudson said in a release. "The future of nutrition isn't just about what you ingest—it's about what your body actually absorbs."
What Makes HealthyCell Different?
HealthyCell skips tablets and capsules entirely. Its supplements come in single-serve gel packets made with the brand's patented MicroGel technology, which the brand says pre-dissolves nutrients so the body can absorb them more easily.
The brand claims MicroGel delivers up to 165 percent better absorption than standard tablets. That figure comes from a company-supported study of vitamin E in healthy adults, published in the journal Nutrition and Health. In other words, a consumer would need well over two and a half times the dose of a standard tablet to match the absorption the brand attributes to a single gel packet.
The format addresses a common complaint about supplements: large tablets, sometimes called "horse pills," that consumers find difficult to swallow and integrate into daily life.
Which Products Does Hudson Back?
Hudson's personal picks center on four priorities:
- Deep sleep
- Focus
- Beauty
- Daily energy
The full HealthyCell lineup extends beyond those four. It also covers heart health, bone strength, joint health, immune support and foundational daily nutrition.
What Does the Partnership Mean for the Brand?
HealthyCell's leadership frames the deal as a mainstream push for pill-free nutrition. "Kate brings unmatched cultural influence, brilliant brand instincts and a deep, personal passion for wellness," says Douglas Giampapa, HealthyCell founder and CEO. "Together, we are taking pill-free, high-absorption nutrition mainstream."
The partnership gives HealthyCell a recognizable face at a moment when consumers are scrutinizing both supplement formats and the science behind absorption claims. Hudson's dual role as investor and creative strategist signals a longer-term commitment than a typical endorsement deal — and her stated focus on consumer education suggests the brand will lean on her to explain the MicroGel technology, not just advertise it.
HealthyCell supplements are available at healthycell.com. Whether a celebrity-backed gel format can shift habits away from the tablet-dominated supplement aisle will test whether absorption claims, backed by a company-supported study, resonate with a market Hudson describes as tired of trends that don't work.
