Pamela Anderson wore almost no makeup at the 2026 CFDA Awards on Monday night, continuing the minimal beauty streak she began in 2023. The "Last Showgirl" actress walked the red carpet at the American Museum of Natural History in a black halter dress with a feather-embellished neckline. She carried a white satin polka-dot clutch and finished the look with feathery black heels.
Anderson, 59, first announced in 2023 that she would stop getting glammed for high-profile appearances. The decision followed the 2019 death of her makeup artist, Alexis Vogel. She has occasionally added elements since — she wore eye makeup designed by Pat McGrath in September — but keeps her beauty approach deliberately simple.
Who created the look?
Hairstylist Jacob Rozenberg and assistant Michaella Garfinkel built the style, using Biolage products. WWD has reached out to both for comment.
The pair styled Anderson's short platinum blond locks into a voluminous updo. The curls swept away from her face and pushed back at the crown, forming an Old Hollywood-reminiscent bob with a bouffant feel (a bouffant is a rounded, height-boosting hairstyle popularized in mid-century cinema).
The makeup was minimal. Save for a little mascara and light pink blush, Anderson wore only a glossy raspberry lip. She likely did her own glam, possibly with products from Sonsie, the skincare brand she joined as cofounder and owner in January 2024.
What does this change for her beauty business?
Sonsie gives Anderson a commercial stake in the no-makeup philosophy she displays on red carpets. The vegan, cruelty-free brand sells hydrating and nourishing balms, creams and serums, and is slowly expanding its product range.
Earlier this month, Anderson spoke with WWD about Sonsie's latest launch: a limited-edition line of lip balms. Each shade and flavor draws inspiration from the crops the actress grows in her own backyard.
In that conversation, she explained her bare-skin approach in her own words:
"People are always going to have something to say. But if your skin looks good, you can do what you want. That's the basis of everything: under makeup, or alone, or putting it all together. Skin care has given me the confidence to try little things, like I said. It's not like I'm against makeup. I just feel like in my personal life, I prefer not to wear so much."
The CFDA appearance shows how Anderson monetizes restraint rather than glamour. A major red carpet covered in mascara, blush and one bold lip functions as free advertising for Sonsie — and Monday's look, with its raspberry gloss, sat squarely within the brand's lip-led product strategy.
