The takeaway

  • Sarah Creal Beauty launched in the UK at Space NK and on Creal's website after debuting in the US in 2024; the range comprises 19 items priced from £5 to £75.
  • Every product targets what Creal calls 'babes' aged 40 and over, addressing midlife pain points such as creasing concealer, migrating lipstick and vanishing blush — a positioning competitors like Merit, Westman Atelier and Jones Road avoid stating explicitly.
  • The £28 Eyes Up Creamy Kajal Longer Liner invites comparison with Victoria Beckham Beauty's bestselling Satin Kajal Liner at £33; Get The Gloss's beauty director judged Creal's version equal or better, preferring its brush.

Sarah Creal Beauty, the 19-product range from the 56-year-old New Yorker who co-founded and ran Victoria Beckham Beauty as CEO, has launched in the UK at Space NK and on Creal's own website, following its US debut in 2024.

For the past 30 years, Creal has worked as a product developer and, in industry terms, a "brand architect" for Bobbi Brown, Tom Ford Beauty, Prada, Aerin and Victoria Beckham Beauty. Sarah Creal Beauty is her first line under her own name.

The range sits at the premium end, but not out of reach. The cheapest item is a £5 eye and lip pencil sharpener. Lip products run from £28 to £38, and bases from £36 to £44. The most expensive product is the Firm Offer 4-in-1 Ultimate Eye Cream at £75, which comes in cigarette lighter-style packaging designed to feel nostalgic for a customer who may not have flipped a lighter lid in 20 years.

The line addresses a gap most brands avoid naming. Every item is formulated for what Creal calls "babes" aged 40 and over, built around the way skin and makeup behaviour change in midlife: concealer that creases, lipstick that migrates, blush that vanishes by lunchtime. Brands such as Merit, Westman Atelier and Jones Road suit 40+ skin, but none state outright that they design for women of a certain age, since positioning for everyone is considered more economically viable. Creal's brand slogan makes her positioning explicit: We're Youth Obsessed.

Get The Gloss's beauty director, 43, tested six products from the UK launch. Her verdicts:

Eyes Up Creamy Kajal Longer Liner in Jungle, £28. The headline product, and an excellent eyeliner. It is smudge-proof on eyes prone to watering and transfer-proof on hooded lids; the reviewer has both and experienced neither. The creamy texture glides on, and a soft flat brush softens the line while releasing more of the gold pigment, giving the khaki green shade its shimmer. It comes in 12 shades, including black, browns, greys, golds, bronze and copper. Compared with Victoria Beckham Beauty's bestselling Satin Kajal Liner, which costs £5 more, the reviewer prefers Creal's brush to VB's foam smudger.

Face Flex Concealer and Complexion Enhancer, £44. A medium-coverage, crease-proof and fade-proof concealer in 21 shades. Creal calls it a "one-dip" formula — one wand withdrawal carries enough product for the whole face and under the eyes, and the reviewer confirms she is right. Initially underwhelmed, the reviewer found the concealer covered her pigmentation patches as easily as her regular product, then realised she did not need foundation on top. One light layer left her skin looking healthier and fresher.

The Adults Are Talking Solid Serum Lip Repair in Thriving, £34. The reviewer's favourite pick. The solid balm comes in five sheer shades plus clear, feels nourishing and protective, and contains lipids that create the appearance of fuller lips without the tingling associated with plumping products. She wants one for every bag she owns.

Today's Highlights 12H Peptide Balm Luminizer, £42. A balmy highlighter that is neither sticky nor greasy, left cheekbones soft and smooth, and delivers luminosity without sparkle or emphasis on lines and wrinkles. It comes in four golden and bronze shades and also works dabbed over the lips.

Coming In Hot Blurring Pressed-Mousse Blush, £36. Many blush formulas sit on the skin rather than sinking in as skin ages. This mousse-powder consistency melts in and delivers a soft-focus, blurring finish. Six shades range from soft pinks to corals and browns with red undertones.

No Further Questions High Glide Peptide Lip Gloss, £32. A high-shine gloss in a short, nearly nail polish-sized bottle with a small wand, allowing more targeted application on lips that may not be as full as they once were.

The launch arrives as women over 40 report feeling increasingly invisible to beauty brands, and with comparisons to Victoria Beckham Beauty already driving conversation around the £28 kajal liner. Creal's bet is that saying the quiet part out loud — this brand is for you — converts that frustration into loyalty.
