At the 2025 Palm Springs Film Festival, Gomez wore an all-white Ralph Lauren ensemble, and Bachik matched it. "Last night's timeless monochromatic 'White on White' French manicure was inspired by Selena's all White Power Suit by Ralph Lauren," he shared on Instagram. He sculpted the French tip with Blanc by essie ($10), then applied one coat of Arctic Jelly ($13) over the whole nail for a monochromatic sheen.

The Proposal Nails

For Blanco's Taco Bell-inspired proposal, Bachik chose a sheer pinky-nude: Ballerina from Chanel ($34). "For her engagement, we went with just a beautiful, classical, sheer, pinky-nude, but she normally loves color; she wants colors that pop, that make her happy," he told Who What Wear. "She didn't know it was happening; she had a Chanel luncheon, and I'm like, 'Hey, why not use a Chanel color?' We wanted something that was classic, timeless and elegant; something that just kind of went with everything."

Her wedding manicure stayed equally restrained — classic white chrome, a look the source notes captured her polished, understated style, though close-up photos remain scarce.

When Bachik Goes Maximal

In November 2025, Bachik created a Romeo + Juliet-inspired bejeweled set in which every nail differed: a deep red thumb with an ornate gold charm, a white nail with a tiny green stone, a blush nail with hand-painted florals and a ruby crystal, and a magenta glitter pinky.

Premiere season has produced its own shade index. For the Los Angeles premiere of Emilia Pérez, Gomez wore almond-shaped plum nails in Aprés Gel's Eggplant Emoji ($15). At the Wizards Beyond Waverly Place premiere, the onyx witchy set came from Mia Secret Black Gelux Gel Polish ($10). The Academy Museum Gala called for sparkle via Olive & June Cosmic Silver Gel Polish ($10). For the Emilia Pérez screening at the Toronto International Film Festival, Bachik used CND's Purplexity ($9) for a pearlescent finish he dubbed a "movie star mani."

The Custom Blends

Not every shade comes off the shelf. Bachik custom-blended a brick red he nicknamed "apple cider" in August 2024, a warm bridge between summer brights and deeper autumn tones. In summer 2024 he crowned a juicy orange set "Orange Julius" after the mall food court drink. His "dirty martini" olive — a custom blend Gomez has favored since at least 2022 — has circulated widely as autumn nail inspiration since he named it among his favorite fall colors.

At the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, Bachik painted her short, classic red set with essie Rock the Runway ($13), calling it a "young, chic, sophisticated" red — a shade "NailTok" associates with "lucky girl syndrome."
