Pamela Anderson wore her most dramatic eye makeup in years at Vogue World Milano on September 22, marking a sharp departure from the stripped-down looks she has favored recently.

The actor, once known for the bombshell smoky eye, has spent recent years going nearly makeup-free on red carpets and online. At the fifth installment of the runway-show-slash-pop-up event, held in Milan during Milan Fashion Week, she reversed course.

Her eyes were tightly lined in bold black on both the top and bottom waterlines, with liner drawn into the inner corners for definition. The dark color was smoked out beneath the lower lashline, above, and outward, creating a classic dark gray smoky eye. Long lashes nearly brushed her signature skinny brows. The metallic gold gown completed the look.

In a Get Ready with Me video posted to TikTok, Anderson said she was going for a fresh-faced look using her skincare brand Sonsie, while Pat McGrath's team was en route to create a "Cleopatra eye" for the night. The shape resembles the iconic imagery of the ancient Egyptian queen.

"I'm convinced that skin just looks better raw," Anderson said in the video. "And then just a little bit of Cleopatra inspiration, but modernized… it's going to go really nice with my Ferragamo."

Her hair matched the statement. Her platinum blonde bob was tightly curled and brushed into a '50s style, with a portion tucked behind one ear and the front section swooped over the other brow.

The moment is notable because Anderson never framed her low-makeup era as permanent. She told British Vogue she was pausing to see "what my next incarnation would be" and was looking for a "clean slate" to help translate "how I want to live and breathe, in nature and the red-carpet world."

The Milan appearance suggests that next incarnation may involve both: bare skin from Sonsie paired with high-impact liner from one of fashion's most in-demand makeup teams. If Anderson continues this hybrid approach, she could redefine what a bombshell beauty look means for her brand in the 2020s.
