Hannah Chody's Bellini eyeshadow for Saie sold out within hours of its October 15 launch and helped make Saie the most searched-for brand on Sephora's website that day, according to the Business of Fashion. The shimmering rose-gold shade is now a permanent part of Saie's SuperSuede Baked Eyeshadows collection — a rarity for a creator collaboration.
Bellini is a recreation of Tom Ford Beauty's discontinued Golden Peach, a shade Chody, a creator with over 387,000 followers, spent more than two years trying to replace. An exclusive TikTok Shop gift set featuring the shade "set a new record for the highest unit sales of any featured brand to date on the platform," Business of Fashion reported. A TikTok representative declined to comment when reached for confirmation. Sephora confirmed Saie ranked among its top-searched brands that day.
How the search began
Chody posted a video praising Golden Peach on March 4, 2023, calling it "the absolute perfect color" on TikTok — only to learn from a follower's comment that the shade was no longer in production. She bought two more pots for safekeeping and started a replacement series on August 8, 2023.
Her first attempts missed the mark: Hourglass Voyeur Eyeshadow Stick in Prism was "not pink enough," and Sisley Paris Ombre Eclat Liquide Eyeshadow in shade 3 had too many sparkles and not enough copper. "Towards the end of 2023 and beginning of 2024 was when the series was going super viral and it gained so much momentum," she told Allure. "I kept going because people kept suggesting [more] and new eye shadows were brought to the market, and it evolved from there."
She often walked into Sephora or Ulta with a Golden Peach swatch on her hand to compare shades in-store. Over two years she tested upwards of 50 shades on camera.
Why Saie won the collaboration
A smaller brand proposed a collaboration in early 2024. Chody declined. "It didn't feel like the right fit because it wasn't a brand that I had a connection to or I felt passionate about, and the eye shadow that I had tried wasn't my favorite," she said.
Her first choice was the original owner of the shade. "My first goal was maybe, hopefully, Tom Ford would bring it back," Chody said, adding she grew "a little less bullish" after 18 months of public campaigning. She has a relationship with Tom Ford Beauty — she has spoken to the team and attended the brand's fashion week party this fall — but a Golden Peach return does not appear to be planned.
Saie reached out in fall 2025. Within a month, Chody flew to Saie's lab outside Milan, where she spent days tweaking the shade against the brand's SuperSuede Baked Eyeshadow formula — less shimmer, more bronze — a year before that formula reached market. "It's such a creamy powder that's so easy to manipulate and use," she said. "Learning about how they bake it low and slow for 12 hours to get it to this perfect consistency that allows for such long wear was so interesting." The name Bellini follows the brand's Italian-themed eyeshadow naming convention.
What does this change for creators?
The Bellini case shows a documented, product-led content series can convert into a permanent, co-created SKU rather than a one-off drop. Chody kept posting dupe tests until October 1, when she tried Armani Beauty Eye Tint Long-Seeing Liquid Eyeshadow in 20S and 27S. She names the closest dupes as RMS cream shadow in Luster, several pink Armani Beauty shades, and a Make Up For Ever eye shadow crayon — but says nothing replaces the original.
"I will say I am extremely impressed by how difficult it is to not only formulate, but create shades and come out with these lines. I give these beauty brands so much credit," she said.
Her next target is already chosen: a discontinued Chantecaille green eyeliner. "It was like a teal green, and as someone with green eyes, it really made the eyes shine," she said. Whether another collaboration materializes is open. "I have no idea if another collab or anything like this is in my future, but I've had so much fun, so never say never."
