Dr. Jart+ has named 18-year-old Katseye member Yoonchae as its first North American ambassador, announcing the deal on Friday alongside a partnership bundle built around a newly reformulated Premium BB SPF 30.

The bundle includes four products: the CryoRubber Moisturizing Mask, the Ceramidin Skin Barrier Korean Moisturizing Cream, the Ceramidin Skin Barrier Korean Serum Milky Toner and the updated BB cream. The BB cream, first introduced in the early 2000s, now carries 2% niacinamide and glycerin, formulated to moisturize, strengthen the skin barrier, protect with SPF and deliver all-day coverage with what the brand calls a "natural glass skin finish."

It retails at $49 for 40 ml and comes in eight shades, sold through the Dr. Jart+ website and Sephora.

What does Yoonchae bring to the brand?

The singer, dancer and now ambassador shares the brand's Korean heritage, and the company hopes she will bring "a new perspective" to its history of science-backed skin care.

"I've always believed that taking care of my skin is a way of taking care of myself," Yoonchae said. "No matter how busy my schedule gets, I love having a simple routine that makes me feel confident and comfortable in my own skin. Dr. Jart+ has always felt fun and innovative to me."

The quote is short. It is also exactly what an 18-year-old pop star's skin care contract sounds like.

VP Ye Jin Kim framed the appointment in cultural terms. "Music, especially K-pop, has always been an important part of how Dr. Jart+ shows up in culture," Kim said. "We love collaborating with Korean artists to share our Korean roots with fans around the world."

Who is Yoonchae?

Yoonchae rose to fame in 2024 with the formation of the international girl group Katseye, where she remains the youngest member. Over two years in the spotlight, her beauty look has swung between a minimalist, clean girl aesthetic and moodier, dark makeup depending on the occasion.

In April, ahead of the group's Coachella debut, she dyed her brunette hair bleach blond. She typically wears it sleek and straight or in loose waves.

The appointment signals how K-pop's global reach continues to shape North American beauty marketing. For Dr. Jart+, a Korean brand with Sephora distribution and a heritage BB formula, a Gen Z Korean-American pop star is a convenient bridge between markets.
